One night stand in Athens

Finally got to Athens and finally went to the Parthenon. Breathtaking in every sense of the word-steep uphill climb, eyes drawn skyward, mind boggling structure, beautiful and tragic in its obvious original glory and modern destruction. If you get a chance to see Nova’s show on the reconstruction endeavors, take a look because it is an immense and painstaking task of detail and minutiae, entrapped in tons of marble.

Having dinner at the Pita Pan very cute Greek fast food and actually good. AND it has free wi-fi! The Internet access through out the trip has been slow and expensive, so I have to thank the Olympian gods for the Pita Pan.

On to Madrid tomorrow where the forecast says rain. Aaarrgh.

How fun! Pictures please! I’ve always wanted to see Greece as well as Italy and France. Actually, Portugal too. Maybe someday! Enjoy the rest of your trip!
